I’m so excited to share that Professor Dr. Marcelo Machado Fernandes is offering a FREE Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification in January. The LIVE, instructor-led class is 4 hours in total, from 7PM to 8PM CST, January 11 to 14, 2021.

Lean Six Sigma Certification – White Belt FAQs

Q: What if I miss one or more of the classes?
A: You have 7 days from the first class to watch the class recordings and take the exam to receive your certification. The recordings will only be available until Sunday – Jan 17th at 11:59PM CST.

Q: Is there a recommended experience-level for the class?
A: This is an introductory class, appropriate for anyone 18 to 81+ years old. If you are interested learning, this class is for you. The learnings apply directly in work and home environments — anywhere there is a process to improve.

Q: What is a Lean Six Sigma White Belt?
A: Lean Six Sigma (LSS) White Belt is an introductory course-level designed to certify that you completed education on the fundamental concepts of Lean Six Sigma. It’s ideal for anyone new to problem solving with data and continuous improvement. If you choose to go up levels, there are also certifications for LSS Green Belts, LSS Black Belts and LSS Master Black Belts.

Q: How much does a Lean Six Sigma White Belt usually cost?
A:
A quick search of the Internet in the U.S. shows there are options for $30, $100 or $349. Through this first-time offer (outside of Professor Marcelo’s home base in Brazil) this White Belt certification is free to attend and you will be able to access your certification certificate after the course and exam is complete.

Q: What are Marcelo Fernandes qualifications to teach and certify a Lean Six Sigma course?
A:
Professor Dr. Marcelo is an Electrical engineer (UNIFEI) with a master’s degree (UNIFEI) and Doctorate (UNESP) in Production Engineering and 20 years of experience in multinationals in the manufacturing and services sectors. He has led / guided more than 500 Lean Six Sigma projects in more than 50 countries in Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. He trained over 5000 Yellow, Green, Black and Master Black Belts from more than 100 different nationalities.

He is also one of 15 official Minitab instructors (active) in the world and one of three ASQ-certified Master Black Belts in Latin America. He has published several articles in national and international congresses and periodicals, has had several Lean Six Sigma projects awarded at Philips, Delphi Automotive Systems and Nielsen. Former Black Belt at Philips, Master Black Belt at Delphi Automotive Systems and Global Consultant in Lean Six Sigma at Nielsen.

Q: How difficult is the exam?
A:
The exam has been designed to be completed by all course participants. All the concepts covered on the exam will be reviewed during the class. This is a 10-question test and 50% correct is a passing score.
